What's Really Important

Having Trust in a relationship

How important is trust within a relationship? Without trust, there is no relationship. The relationship will not survive nor blossom if all parties involved don't trust each other. You have to believe in the other person's abilities and be able to trust that they will be there for you.

Talk is cheap it has always been. It's ok to tell someone that they can trust you. However, it is better to show them that you can trust them. Words without actions... are just words. You could even skip verbalizing that you could be trusted. You could just simply show them. Be consistent with your actions. Show the other person that earning their trust is important to you. Communication is key.

Personal story: I am in the fitness weight loss world. It is a male dominated industry. I asked my girlfriends how she feels about me collaborating with men in my work out videos. She answered honestly and said "I trust you but I don't trust the other men." I accepted her answer and reassured her that it is only for business. I know a lot of men may be attracted to me, but I always carry myself professionally. I am happy she know this already just based on the personality traits that I've already shown her. I am to be trusted regardless of who I am around. She place her trust in me that I will not lie to her or embarrass her while working with men. I assure her that would never happen. I have more respect for our relationship but more so, I have respect for myself

I have a personal connection with mental illness awareness and suicide prevention. I know just how important it is to take care of your mental health. I have been in therapy since the age of 10. I've spent the majority of my life trying to maintain a sane mindset. Somedays are good and other days are not so good. But most importantly, I refuse to give up. I won't give up on me
